Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the lab floor operations: rack-and-stack execution, structured copper/fiber cabling, hardware installs and swaps, and part replacement while keeping asset records accurate.
  • •Receive and inventory lab equipment, handle RMAs end to end, and document installations and changes physically and photographically.
  • •Provide smart-hands support for remote engineering teams and hardware partners, including cabling diagnosis/replacement, component reseats/swaps, and console access.
  • •Support liquid cooling work alongside deployment engineering, including CDU manifold connections and visual leak inspection.
  • •Act as first point of contact for facility-floor issues, escalate to technical leads, and escort vendors/partners while maintaining equipment, access, and confidentiality boundaries.

Key Requirements

  • •Deployed and supported server and network hardware in a live data center or hardware lab, including racking, cabling, repairs, and uptime.
  • •Deep server troubleshooting experience with POST, BIOS, PXE, IPMI, BMC, and component-level repair.
  • •Understands network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Ethernet) and hardware (switches, routers, copper and fiber) to diagnose physical-layer faults.
  • •Comfortable working in Linux for hands-on diagnosis and console recovery.
  • •Keeps asset records, labels, and documentation aligned with what’s on the floor; can handle partner-owned or unreleased hardware confidentially.
