Key Responsibilities

  • •Review engineering drawings and product requirements, applying GD&T and inspection planning.
  • •Develop manufacturing, inspection, fixturing, gaging, and post-processing strategies for complex aerospace components.
  • •Create and maintain APQP deliverables (Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, FAIRs, MSAs, capability studies).
  • •Design and validate manufacturing/inspection methods for additive manufacturing, using metrology approaches such as manual metrology, gauges, CMM, and 3D scanning.
  • •Lead MRB disposition, conduct root cause investigations, and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits (including AS9100).

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Engineering or Material Science from an accredited institution.
  • •5+ years leading component manufacturing quality and inspection development, partnering with customers and design/quality/process specialists.
  • •Experience applying GD&T, datuming, and inspection planning to review drawings and specifications.
  • •Ability to develop inspection/manufacturing strategies and procedures, including fixturing, gaging, heat treatment, surface finishing, and deburring.
  • •Experience with inspection/metrology tools and statistical analysis (e.g., Minitab or equivalent), plus strong structured problem-solving.
