Improve Firefox’s web browsing experience by working on the networking stack and network-related web platform APIs such as Fetch and WebTransport. Design and implement new networking protocols and platform features, debug correctness and performance issues in a multi-threaded codebase, and resolve platform-specific networking problems to enhance stability and security for millions of users.

•Improve Firefox’s networking stack and networking-related APIs (e.g., Fetch, WebTransport) to enhance the browsing experience.

•Debug and fix correctness and performance issues in a multi-threaded codebase.
•Debug platform-specific networking issues.
•Improve Firefox stability and correctness.

Salary: EUR 28 hourly

Key Requirements

•Experience programming in Rust and/or C/C++ with familiarity in memory safety, test-driven development, data analysis, and secure software development practices.
•Speak English fluently and enjoy open-source software engineering work.
•Prior experience with networking and/or systems programming (bonus).
•Be enrolled in a university in Germany and be willing to occasionally visit the office in Berlin.
