Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate, improve, and debug in-house and commercial EDA tools and flows for physical layout and CMOS design.
  • •Develop place-and-route flows for DRAM at advanced process technology nodes and implement methodologies like hierarchical flow and UPF.
  • •Work with EDA vendors to deploy latest PnR tools and help track issues to resolution.
  • •Customize EDA tools and create in-house flows to improve design team efficiency and support global design teams’ PnR needs.
  • •Lead flow implementation using AI-assisted, copilot-based, agentic AI, and rule-aware automation to accelerate placement, routing, optimization, and semi-automated floorplanning.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 4+ years of experience.
  • •Strong hands-on experience with industry place-and-route tools such as ICC2, Innovus, and Primetime.
  • •Excellent UNIX and scripting skills using TCL, Perl, Shell, and Python (Python preferred).
  • •Knowledge of defining STA constraints, including corners and margins (derate, uncertainty, jitter, ID drop).
  • •Experience with critical timing ECO and power closure, including Metal ECO for SOC-level signoff.
