Job Summary

Join Mastercard Foundry R&D’s Agentic AI Engineering team to build tooling, services, and reusable patterns that help teams experiment, validate, and scale AI-enabled solutions. You’ll design and implement AI-enabled applications and developer-facing workflows, evaluate AI frameworks for quality/cost/latency, and improve developer experience through automation and platform thinking. You’ll partner across product, engineering, and business to turn prototypes into production systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Build software, tooling, and platform capabilities supporting Mastercard’s Agentic AI strategy.
•Design and implement AI-enabled applications, workflows, and developer-facing capabilities.
•Develop reusable services, patterns, and integrations for AI and agentic systems.
•Evaluate models, frameworks, and tools across quality, cost, latency, reliability, and maintainability.
•Improve developer experience via automation, AI-assisted workflows, and platform thinking, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver working solutions.

Key Requirements

•Hands-on experience building applications or systems using Generative AI, LLMs, or agentic patterns.
•Experience with modern AI frameworks/SDKs for agent orchestration, AI application development, or coding-agent workflows (e.g., LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, Vercel AI SDK, or Codex SDK).
•Strong understanding of orchestration, tool-calling, context management, and AI system design trade-offs.
•Strong backend engineering experience building scalable, maintainable production systems, including Java and/or Python.
•Experience with React and/or Next.js, plus developer tooling/automation, CLI-based workflows, and CI/CD.
