Key Responsibilities

  • •Measure, mark, and cut boards using patterns/templates and hand and power tools.
  • •Fasten/install parts with hammer, nailing machine, or power stapler; build and repair crates and containers.
  • •Pack, seal, band, and apply markings; prepare cargo for shipment and obtain GBL/CBL from outbound freight.
  • •Inspect blocking and bracing, issue bolt/wire wrap seals, assist with CIDD installation, and support installation on containers deploying overseas.
  • •Inspect railcars for serviceability and equipment, and assist/direct tie-down of military vehicles and MILVANS to ensure compliance with specifications.

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduate (or equivalent).
  • •Working knowledge of various power saws and basic woodworking principles.
  • •2 years woodworking experience and knowledge of packaging and preservation principles (preferred).
  • •Ability to obtain a forklift license and WPM Custodian Certification (WPM program knowledge preferred).
  • •Must be able to obtain Tier 1/NACI (Public trust) background eligibility, Common Access Card (CAC), and Company/Government provided HAZMAT certification.
