Key Responsibilities

  • •Escort defendants to and from courtrooms, cells, and related areas, including accompanying them to the toilet to ensure security and safety (may involve handcuffs).
  • •Monitor and supervise detainees in the docks during court sessions to maintain security and wellbeing.
  • •Maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive court information and testimonies, while supporting detainees emotionally.
  • •Ensure detainees have access to food and drink and accommodate dietary requirements.
  • •Complete necessary paperwork and data entry, logging detainee movements and incidents; liaise with court staff and law enforcement.
