Key Responsibilities

  • •Support spacecraft assembly, integration, and production alongside the Manufacturing Engineering team.
  • •Create and maintain manufacturing process plans, work instructions, routings, BOMs, and controlled production documentation.
  • •Provide hands-on engineering support on the production floor to troubleshoot issues, remove blockers, and drive corrective/preventive actions.
  • •Review engineering designs for manufacturability and provide actionable DFMA feedback to Design Engineering.
  • •Lead manufacturing engineering activities across spacecraft builds, mentor Manufacturing Engineers, and translate engineering intent into executable processes on the shop floor.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of professional experience in Manufacturing Engineering/Production/Industrial Engineering (aerospace or complex hardware environment preferred).
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • •Demonstrated technical leadership or mentorship while remaining a hands-on individual contributor in manufacturing/production.
  • •Strong hands-on knowledge of complex hardware manufacturing and assembly (e.g., electronics assembly, hand soldering, harness fabrication, mechanical assembly, bonding/polymerics, precision integration).
  • •Experience with manufacturing documentation and ERP/MRP/MES alignment (EBOM/MBOM/PBOM, routings, work orders), plus structured root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
