Job Summary

Develop and analyze commercial credit information to support lending officers and senior management credit decisions. Conduct in-depth financial statement, cash flow, and collateral analysis; interpret Credit Bureau reports; and prepare profitability models and loan-structure recommendations. Perform loan reviews and credit discussions with stakeholders, support real estate appraisal evaluation (including USPAP-related appraisal review), and independently validate risk ratings and loan authority components in line with FDICIA and Sarbanes-Oxley.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and analyze credit information by reviewing financial statements and tax returns, researching debt and deposit relationships, and performing financial and cash flow analysis.
•Interpret Credit Bureau reports and evaluate strengths/weaknesses of credit; assign and substantiate risk ratings.
•Assess collateral value (e.g., receivables aging and real estate appraisals) and help evaluate residential and commercial real estate appraisals including fair capitalization rate.
•Apply commercial loan policy manual, the Uniform Commercial Code, and related loan documentation; track credit memo exceptions to policy.
•Serve as a liaison to regulators, appraisers, borrowers, and auditors; perform independent validation of risk rating and loan authority in accordance with FDICIA and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance (or an Associate’s degree plus 2 years’ experience).
•5+ years’ banking or related field experience.
•Excellent verbal and written communication.
•Working knowledge of microcomputer systems, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Baker Hill Statement Analyzer software.
•Knowledge of techniques to analyze business financial conditions and assess a borrower’s ability to service debt obligations.
