Job Summary

Drive company Class A commercial vehicles (side/belly dump, tanker, or low boy) to deliver building materials to job sites and customers. Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, monitor gauges, and conduct minor maintenance while following dispatch instructions and safety rules. Handle loading, delivery tickets, and signatures, maintain operator logs and records per DOT requirements, and provide customer service while collecting payments and resolving basic inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance/repair issues, and handle minor field repairs.
•Operate the truck to deliver materials to construction sites safely and efficiently according to laws and dispatch instructions.
•Ensure proper loading of materials, obtain required signatures, and collect money/record transactions as required.
•Maintain communication with dispatch/dispatcher, review delivery tickets for special instructions, and complete them.
•Maintain operator logs, forms, and records per company policy and Department of Transportation regulations, and follow safety rules.

Key Requirements

•Hold a valid Class A CDL (unrestricted) and current DOT medical card.
•Provide excellent customer service while delivering materials to job sites and customers.
•Be safety minded with strong attendance and punctuality; be willing to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
•Communicate effectively with supervisors, truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, and other employees.
•Comply with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and company/state rules; be able to join Local Operators #400 within 30 days and pass pre-employment physical and controlled substance testing (US work authorization required or ability to obtain without company assistance).
