Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in coordinating daily department responsibilities and ensure instructions are communicated to team members timely and correctly.
  • •Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair processing equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and complying with Tyson policies and procedures.
  • •Organize and direct the work of maintenance mechanics and perform the mechanics’ duties as needed.
  • •Operate machine shop equipment (lathe, milling machine, shears, and brakes) and use welding to fabricate components and support plant needs.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance as assigned, diagnose mechanical issues, complete simple electrical troubleshooting, and maintain records of work.

  • •Twelve months of continuous employment with a single employer within the last 36 months of employment, or completion of verifiable formal schooling in a specific trade.

  • •Must be proficient in using machine shop equipment and tools such as lathe, milling machine, shears, brakes, and standard hand tools.
