Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families at assigned installations.
  • •Deliver education and counseling, including one-on-one sessions, consultations with commanders/providers, briefings and presentations, and referral resources.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and provide Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle and deployment-related events.
  • •Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree required (may consider associate degree plus 4 years’ experience or high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience in lieu of a bachelor’s).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •If required by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • •Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
