Job Summary

Operate a forklift and/or skid steer to lift and move materials, machines, and products safely in the scrap yard. Follow Metals Recycling Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, wear required PPE, and maintain a safe environment. Support plant operations through cleaning, yard/facility maintenance, equipment paperwork, and basic sorting of scrap and debris. Complete special projects or other assigned duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate a forklift and/or skid steer to lift and move materials, machines, and products.
•Strictly adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards, including PPE use and safe practices.
•Assist with cleaning and related duties to maintain plant operations and help with yard/facility cleanup and maintenance.
•Complete paperwork for forklift and/or skid steer (and lifting accessories) and report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions.
•Perform basic sorting of scrap, metal, and debris in preparation for processing, and handle special projects as assigned.

Key Requirements

•Hold valid forklift and/or skid steer certification if required in the state or province of application.
•Experience operating equipment in an industrial setting to move product and/or material.

•Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards and follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including PPE.
•Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
•Perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision.
•Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
