Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop a concise PHI inception package to help WCOs and Member States initiate or enhance PHI functions using ePHEM.
  • •Prepare practical guidance on PHI functions, roles, signal workflows, RRA linkage, meeting routines, and core PHI outputs.
  • •Assist in structured testing of ePHEM modules and related digital/AI-enabled decision-support tools, and document user experiences and improvements.
  • •Prepare or update training materials covering PHI, ePHEM, RRA, AI literacy, and digital epidemic intelligence, including case studies and exercises.
  • •Create knowledge products for the PHI Community of Practice and deliver a final consultancy report summarizing outcomes, lessons learned, and next steps.

Key Requirements

  • •First university degree in Medicine, pharmacy, veterinary science, nursing, or a related discipline.
  • •Up to five years of relevant experience in epidemiology, surveillance and/or control of acute public health events.
  • •Technical knowledge in the use of EIOS and SSA.
  • •Good writing and presentation skills, with knowledge of rapid risk assessment processes at regional and country levels.
  • •Excellent English; other UN languages (especially Arabic or French) are an asset.
