Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform structural engineering work for the design of new concrete, CMU, steel, metal stud, light-frame wood, and mass timber structures.
  • •Develop solutions for re-use of existing structures through structural retrofitting or resiliency assessments.
  • •Create technical reports and presentations, including tables, charts, sketches, calculations, and 2D/3D illustrations.
  • •Coordinate project work through remote/in-person meetings, technical sketches, BIM modeling, and site notebooks/logs.
  • •Maintain quality control standards and support site evaluations for structural soundness under loads and pressures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or closely related discipline).
  • •1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience.
  • •Knowledge of structural engineering principles, design/build processes, and applying them to project issues.
  • •Familiarity with infrastructure planning, rehabilitation and new design, and relevant structural/civil laws and codes.
  • •Experience with discipline-specific design software including SAFE, ETABS, RAM Structural Systems, Sp Column, AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and Excel.
