Key Responsibilities

•Lead and work in the cage department, demonstrating knowledge of all machine functions.
•Read blueprints and interpret structural schematics and rebar tags to determine bar size, shape, and placement.
•Cut and bend metal and format raw steel using gas-powered saws and hydraulic shears.
•Assemble and tie metal to create rigid rebar cages or mats by spacing and fastening crossing bars together.
•Position finished cages in concrete forms and place supports to ensure steel is properly embedded; perform other assigned duties.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/equivalent or at least one month of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Ability to read blueprints and understand operator instructions.
•Ability to interpret structural schematics and rebar tags to determine bar size, shape, and placement.
•Ability to use tape measures, pliers, and reels; welding is preferred.
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and communicate effectively with team members.
