Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, maintain, and repair natural gas lines, meters, and regulators, including turning gas lines on and off as necessary.
  • •Respond to customer service requests for connections, disconnections, and leak investigations.
  • •Operate and maintain heavy and specialized equipment for excavation and pipe/meter material handling.
  • •Read meters and record consumption for billing; disconnect delinquent accounts as necessary.
  • •Assist with contractor crew work planning, monitoring, and inspection to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and company policies; support emergencies and maintain required records.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of natural gas service and construction/maintenance field experience.
  • •Must have obtained Sr Level status in either service or construction and maintenance.
  • •Must maintain required Operator Qualifications (OQs) and classroom training for the position.
  • •Requires a valid driver’s license per company standards (CDL may be required per driver policy).
  • •Must obtain and maintain a Competent Person certificate within six months.
