Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate the departmental safety program through inspections, reporting, and ongoing compliance follow-ups.
  • •Investigate, prepare, and review reports of injury, property damage, and claims; maintain records of industrial injuries and safety training.
  • •Assess hazards and ensure suitable controls are in place, including fire and safety, hygiene regulations, hazardous materials handling, and exposure prevention for flammable/explosive and other risks.
  • •Develop and deliver safety training materials and newsletters; conduct safety meetings; produce daily shift reports and perform departmental audits.
  • •Manage and train shift emergency teams, lead firefighting during emergencies, and maintain fire extinguishers and fire alarm monitoring systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Two years of experience in safety inspection, promotion, or training, or equivalent training, education, and experience.
  • •College-level course work in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or related field is highly desirable.
  • •Ability to identify health and safety hazards and determine courses of action to mitigate risks.
  • •Ability to conduct accident investigations, analyze situations accurately, and recommend timely and effective actions.
  • •Ability to interpret safety and environmental laws and regulations and plan/present safety training programs.
