Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead geochemistry and hydrogeochemistry programs that strengthen mine design and decisions from environmental assessment through permitting, construction, operations, and closure.
  • •Deliver geochemical baseline studies and predictive modelling connecting mineralogy, metal leaching, acid rock drainage, surface water, groundwater, hydrology, hydrogeology, and water treatment.
  • •Guide multidisciplinary teams to develop technically defensible environmental impact assessment submissions and translate evidence into strategies for clients and regulators.
  • •Drive project identification, scoping, proposal development, and client engagement to expand mining geochemistry services and build partnerships.
  • •Provide qualified professional and health and safety site visits and mentor junior professionals through reviews of complex work.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 132,700 - 175,800 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in geology, geoscience, geochemistry, or hydrogeology, plus 10+ years of mining industry experience.
  • •MSc or PhD in geochemistry, geology, geological engineering, hydrology, chemistry, or a related field is an asset.
  • •Subject-matter expertise in mineralogy, geology, metal leaching, and acid rock drainage to guide technically complex mining assignments.
  • •Proven experience leading/delivering geochemistry work across mine design, environmental assessment, permitting, construction, operations, and closure.
  • •Proficiency with geochemical/mining software such as MIN3P, PHREEQC, Geochemist's Workbench, GoldSim, ioGAS, or Leapfrog (EQuIS, Power BI, Python, R, or Excel macros are an asset).
