Job Summary

Originate residential first mortgage loans from outside referrals, owning the loan process from application through closing. Build and manage referral relationships, apply Fifth Third Mortgage policies, and guide applicants through paperwork including Fannie Mae Form 1003. Use tools like daily rate access and credit/report responses (Loan Prospector) to transmit loans to LOMAS, manage your pipeline, provide timely updates, and meet sales and cross-selling objectives while following risk and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop referral contacts (realtors, builders, and professional/personal contacts).
•Complete applications using Fannie Mae Form 1003 and gather required documentation within management time frames.
•Use a laptop for communication and daily rates, applicant credit reports, Loan Prospector responses, and transmitting loans to LOMAS.
•Manage the loan pipeline through closing and complete required management reports.
•Provide timely updates to branches and/or applicants and maintain high customer service expectations while participating in Consumer Lending meetings.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent required; four-year college degree preferred.
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through NMLS (MU4R registration required).
