Develop and optimize plastic injection molding manufacturing processes for Starlink hardware, sustaining current lines and ramping new lines to full-scale production for millions of devices. Lead parameter optimization (DOE), implement high-volume plug-and-play processes, own production layout and safety improvements, drive DFT/DFM with design/test teams, and identify automation opportunities and tooling strategies to enable scalable manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop plastic injection molding manufacturing processes for Starlink hardware
•Optimize injection molding processes through parameter optimization, DOE experiments, and trials to create a robust process
•Implement plug-and-play production processes capable of high-volume throughput (1M+ per year)
•Own the physical production layout to optimize material flow from receiving to line processes
•Drive design for test (DFT) and design for manufacturing (DFM) with design and test engineers

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics
•5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
•Direct experience with plastic injection molding
•Ability to design tooling for high volume manufacturing
•Experience with NX and Teamcenter
