Key Responsibilities

  • •Create sourcing strategies for electronics categories (PCB, PCBA/contract manufacturing, electronic components, and instrumentation) to reduce risk and meet cost, cash, and payment-term targets.
  • •Develop and manage a domestic and international supplier base; communicate and drive compliance to category strategies.
  • •Implement cost-reduction projects (piece price, yield, tooling, dual-source, obsolescence) with planning, stakeholder coordination, estimated completion, and ongoing updates.
  • •Run RFX (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs) and act as the supplier interface, including implementing sourcing decisions and defining supplier SLAs/KPIs.
  • •Evaluate demand, manage purchase orders, track supplier delivery performance, support prototype/ramp/rate, and mitigate sole/single-source risk through contract negotiations.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced degree with 3+ years, or bachelor’s with 5+ years, or 9+ years experience in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, material/production planning, operations or supply chain management, or related areas.
  • •Technical procurement experience with PCB, PCBA/contract manufacturing, electronic components, or instrumentation.
  • •Experience with master production scheduling, material cost control, and/or technical procurement processes.
  • •Ability to read technical drawings and understand manufacturing complexity, including fab notes, stack-ups, and BOMs.
  • •Experience with MRP or ERP, including managing BOMs and purchase orders.
