Job Summary

Underwrite commercial real estate credit requests by working with relationship managers and credit partners across deal review, modeling, structuring, due diligence, credit approval, documentation, and closing through funding and booking. Manage post-closing and portfolio-related requirements, evaluate risks within the bank’s risk appetite, and handle amendments and restructurings. Coordinate with legal counsel and internal teams to negotiate documents and complete internal/external post-closing items.

•Underwrite new money deals to new borrowers through the credit approval, documentation, closing, funding, and post-closing process.
•Partner with relationship managers for initial deal review, modeling, structuring, and creation of the Opportunity Memo.
•Coordinate deal pre-clearance and due diligence ordering/collection with internal groups, customers/prospects, and third-party providers.
•Prepare credit approval documents and change-in-terms materials using available resources, and obtain proper approvals with RM and Credit.
•Engage legal counsel, negotiate legal documentation, manage closing/funding/booking, and complete underwriting for amendments and restructurings.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 82,100 - 172,500 annually

Key Requirements

•College degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
•7+ years of total work experience, including 4+ years of CRE underwriting, credit, or originations.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
•Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (preferred).
•Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to manage multiple detailed tasks concurrently.
