Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure operational integrity and regulatory compliance of data center electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems.
  • •Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems, helping maximize customer uptime.
  • •Perform installations and maintenance tasks using hand tools and power tools; test electromechanical assemblies and electronic voltmeters.
  • •Analyze system performance, recommend improvements/new technologies for efficiency and cost reduction, and help manage systems to avoid unplanned customer-impacting events.
  • •Coordinate with contractors and internal leads to review quality assurance and complete preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate of Science in Technology degree (or equivalent education/work experience) and a minimum of 3 years in a mechanical/electrical position within critical facilities (preferably data center, hospital, semiconductor, or power plant).
  • •Understanding of data center mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety systems including electrical distribution/UPS, chilled water/CRAC-CRAH, and pre-action/wet sprinkler systems.
  • •Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, and NFPA 25, plus industrial safety best practices (lockout/tagout, arc flash protection, OSHA and state regulations).
  • •Current CPR/First Aid and NFPA 70E certification during employment; OSHA forklift certification or ability to obtain one after hire is required.
  • •High School Diploma or GED required; must have a current, valid state-issued driver’s license.
