Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage day-to-day lab operations, verify testing requests, and prepare work forecasts.
  • •Carry out laboratory tests for concrete, aggregate, and advanced soils, following relevant testing procedures.
  • •Perform advanced soils testing including consolidation, UCS rock testing, triaxial, and direct shear methods.
  • •Ensure testing quality by training junior staff, maintaining equipment per specifications, and performing calibrations and routine repairs.
  • •Supervise QA/QC construction testing and inspection, support field staff orientation, and prepare laboratory testing reports and technical reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 8 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education).
  • •Relevant experience with dam projects, including inspection, rehabilitation, and/or new design and construction.
  • •Experience performing inspection, design, and/or engineering activities in dams or water retaining structures.
  • •Experience in laboratory soil testing procedures across low to high complexity.
  • •Bilingual: English and Spanish.
