Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the data platform end to end, including ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and reliability.
  • •Develop Hazel’s AI agents that write, build, and test new integrations end-to-end.
  • •Optimize ingestion pipelines for low-latency data availability and consistent performance during peak demand.
  • •Build the data transformation layer to provide clean, predictable data for Hazel’s users.
  • •Ship new source integrations end-to-end and automate your work, especially integrations and transformations.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years building production data infrastructure with clear ownership of a warehouse others depend on.
  • •Deep understanding of dbt and SQL, including grain, incrementality, and data modeling.
  • •Strong Python experience for building the ingestion layer.
  • •Production experience owning an orchestrator (Dagster, Airflow, Temporal, Prefect, or similar).
  • •Comfort being the only person in this role and ensuring that changes when needed.
