Lead development for Mastercard’s Connex-based payment platforms in a scaled Agile (SAFe) environment, supporting UK Critical National Infrastructure products. Key Responsibilities

•Deliver within an established Scrum team aligned to SAFe, supporting sprint planning, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Collaborate with onshore engineering teams to deliver features, resolve defects, and ensure seamless integration across the delivery lifecycle.
•Design, develop, and maintain solutions across a multi-technology stack.
•Provide production support and reliability for critical live systems, ensuring performance, resilience, and adherence to enterprise standards and controls.
•Contribute to engineering best practices, automation, and process enhancements to improve delivery efficiency and quality.

Key Requirements

•Highly experienced in Connex development with HP NonStop development background.
•Strong understanding of financial industry hardware such as HSMs on HP NonStop, including PCI and OWASP security requirements.
•Strong knowledge of TAL, COBOL, SCOBOL, and TACL, plus HP Non-Stop protocols, security, and utilities.
•Deep understanding of online payment transaction processing and financial messaging protocols including ISO8583, ISO20022, and VISA/MasterCard/ATM message protocols.
•Proven development and technical testing experience in Agile environments, including BDD methodologies and functional/non-functional automated testing.
