Job Summary

Senior Electrical Engineer leading design and delivery of complex electrical systems for mission-critical buildings. Role oversees power distribution, lighting, grounding and lightning protection across retrofit and new projects, coordinating with M&E teams, ensuring code compliance, and mentoring junior staff within WSP’s Property & Buildings team in the GTA.

Job Function: Hardware, Embedded & Systems Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the design and development of power distribution, lighting, grounding, earthing, and lightning protection systems for new and retrofit projects
•Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, drawings, and specifications
•Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
•Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and designers
•Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and offshore design teams

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
•10+ years of consulting experience in building systems design
•Professional Engineer (PEO) licensed in Ontario
•Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering Data Centre or mission-critical projects in Canada
•Proficiency in Revit, ETAP, and lighting design software such as AGI32 or Dialux
