Job Summary

Coordinate mine planning activities and deliver Business Plan and Monthly Operating Plan inputs for the Grosvenor Mine. Support the mine with best-practice mining engineering services while ensuring Zero Harm through compliance with safety systems and legislation. Lead and manage mine planning across weekly, short-range, monthly, 5-year, and business planning horizons, monitor performance, and drive productivity and process improvement programs across ventilation, gas management, and technical projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver best-practice mining engineering services and support to the mine while ensuring compliance with safety systems and legislation.
•Plan and coordinate mine planning (weekly, short-range, Monthly, 5-year and business planning) and production review meetings.
•Monitor, analyse, and report mine performance and manage projects.
•Contribute to effective ventilation, gas management, mine planning, and technical projects.
•Lead the permit to mine process and identify productivity and process improvement programs related to safety, production, cost, and efficiency.

Key Requirements

•Degree qualified Mining Engineer (or equivalent).
•A detailed understanding of coal mining processes.
•Working knowledge of relevant mining legislation and its application.
•Planning and problem-solving ability with strong communication and collaboration skills.
•Previous underground mining experience (preferably coal) and experience with mine planning tools such as XPAC, IntelliCAD, AutoCAD, Mine Planner, or Deswik.
