Job Summary

Serve as the technical leader for Plaid’s Europe engineering team, translating product strategy into engineering roadmaps while staying hands-on in the codebase. Own high-leverage projects, prototype and de-risk complex work, and drive technical excellence through design reviews and architectural decisions. Partner with the Engineering Manager and PM, and stay tightly aligned with US platform teams so Europe’s requirements shape shared infrastructure.

•Set technical direction across Europe’s product surface area, translating product strategy into engineering roadmaps with clear scoping, sequencing, and tradeoffs.
•Stay hands-on by owning high-leverage projects and prototyping to de-risk the hardest work.
•Own technical excellence through design reviews, architectural decisions, and code quality standards.
•Partner with the Engineering Manager and PM to identify opportunities, make tradeoffs, and keep focus on highest-leverage work.
•Maintain strong alignment with US engineering and platform teams so shared infrastructure is leveraged and Europe’s requirements shape platform decisions.
