Job Summary

Strengthen proactive and reactive safety programs across flight operations and ground environments. Execute and continuously improve operational safety auditing, safety metrics reporting, mishap and near-miss investigations, safety promotion, and CAPA processes. Maintain the Operational Risk Registry for the V-BAT platform and collaborate with Airworthiness, System Safety, Engineering, EH&S, and Program teams to ensure hazards are identified early and closed through readiness and operational approval activities.

•Conduct audits of ground procedures and operational practices to ensure compliance, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions.
•Develop, maintain, and report leading and lagging safety metrics to drive transparency and continuous improvement.
•Own and manage the CAPA process to log, analyze, assign, and close findings on schedule.
•Lead safety promotions, including communications, awareness campaigns, and training touchpoints.
•Lead mishap and near-miss investigations and maintain the Operational Risk Registry for the V-BAT platform, coordinating with engineering and operational stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 120,000 - 180,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety, aviation, or related discipline (or equivalent operational experience).
•3–5+ years of experience in aviation safety, flight or ground operations, UAS operations, or safety management systems.
•Familiarity with SMS principles, operational audits, and mishap investigation processes.
•Ability to work effectively across diverse operational environments with multiple stakeholders.
•Strong analytical skills and proficiency with safety or quality tracking systems, plus strong written and verbal communication for reports and safety summaries.
