Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect/test defective equipment and use test instruments; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work and DOT forms and upload photos of findings/parts used on Repair Orders using a company iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field (or alternative combinations such as additional education/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Must supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with more than four months remaining).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license with an up-to-date Driver Qualification File.
