Job Summary

Experienced Simulator Engineer to maintain CAE simulators and ancillary systems (scenario generation and debrief) for MQ-9B Protector at RAF Waddington. You will work in a small team, handling hardware/software maintenance, device setup, troubleshooting, and integration, with travel within the UK and potentially abroad, to support CAE and RAF missions.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the Flight Simulator Training Devices, including device setup and maintenance.
•Independently perform Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) on training devices and associated systems.
•Ensure PMTs are carried out to standards and signed off, and manage recurrent QTG runs with timely closure of deficiencies.
•Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve training device issues; collaborate with senior and remote colleagues (Montreal) on AOGs and coordinate with logistics, scheduling, and training departments.
•Use the Maintenance Management System to record, track, and review maintenance activities and coordinate hardware/software integration tasks.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Minimum of 5 years engineering experience in the field of simulation or similar
•Good experience of working with hardware, software and electronics
•Good PC and network skills
•Willingness to travel and be away from home from time to time; resident in the Lincolnshire area
•Able to obtain UK security clearance (requires at least 5 years UK residency) and existing rights to live and work in the UK
