Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical direction of Apollo’s most critical and ambiguous problems across team and organizational boundaries.
  • •Make multi-year architectural bets that shape the product and platform and be accountable for their outcomes.
  • •Set the technical strategy for the rebuild around AI and agents and translate it into execution direction for teams.
  • •Raise the engineering bar across the organization through standards, patterns, and technical decisions.
  • •Multiply engineer output through design, review, and mentorship of the organization’s most senior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated track record setting technical direction that shaped a product or platform across an entire engineering organization.
  • •Strong depth in distributed systems and architecture, with command of reliability, scale, and cost tradeoffs.
  • •Ability to make the hardest calls under ambiguity and align multiple teams behind decisions.
  • •Experience multiplying the output of senior engineers through design, review, and mentorship.
  • •Genuine, current fluency with AI-assisted development and a clear point of view on where AI takes engineering next.
