Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as technical point of contact for assigned parts/assemblies, resolving emergent supplier challenges and mitigating manifest risk by addressing high-impact manufacturing and quality issues.
  • •Own new product introduction: determine manufacturing methods, identify suppliers, and develop reliable ramp-to-rate processes at suppliers for new parts, drawing changes, or re-sourcing.
  • •Conduct DFM reviews early to ensure parts are manufacturable prior to sourcing.
  • •Create and flow down specifications to the supply base, and scope new forming/cutting/inspection technologies and suppliers to improve rate, quality, and efficiency.
  • •Review issues to root cause and drive corrective actions through rework/repair/use-as-is dispositions, including issue ticket creation and containment leadership to resolution.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • •1+ years of experience with manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products in a production environment.
  • •Fundamental understanding of propulsion/fluid systems and associated component manufacturing processes (e.g., draw forming, extrusions, welded/seamless tubing, cutting, assembly).
  • •Experience with machining and ancillary operations (e.g., milling, turning, tube cutting) and/or engineering drawings/modeling with GD&T.
  • •Ability to work extended hours and travel up to 40–50% of the work week.
