Job Summary

Lead Vanta’s EMEA Solutions Engineering team (Growth and Commercial), coaching a group of eight SEs and evolving the technical sales motion toward consultative, value-based engagements. Partner with Account Executives to drive technical wins and integrate SE contributions into the sales process. Define technical engagement playbooks, model hands-on AI use to improve SE efficiency, and own team performance metrics, reporting, and SE hiring.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and develop eight SEs across Growth and Commercial segments, establishing coaching cadence and building on the team’s operating rhythm.
•Drive the evolution of the SE motion from repeatable demos to consultative, value-based engagement in the right deals while maintaining speed and volume where appropriate.
•Define and iterate on playbooks for discovery, demo quality, and POC approach so the team can replicate and refine the motion.
•Strengthen the SE–AE partnership across EMEA by coaching SEs to act as trusted technical advisors and integrate SE contributions into the sales motion.
•Own team performance and reporting (technical win rates, deal attachment, pipeline influence, capacity) and partner with recruiting to shape SE hiring profiles and support interviews.

Key Requirements

•3 to 5 years of SE management experience with 7+ years total in pre-sales or solutions engineering, including strong people-management skills (1:1s, performance, hiring, team dynamics).
•Experience leading a shift from a volume-based SE motion to a more consultative, value-based approach, knowing when to preserve speed and demo-forward execution.
•Hands-on AI and modern tooling fluency, with a track record of building team processes around AI tools to improve efficiency.
•EMEA market experience with an understanding of regional diversity in language, geography, and GRC/compliance maturity and buyer security decision-making.
•Familiarity with GRC, compliance, or security SaaS; GDPR fluency is a meaningful plus.
