Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform traffic engineering investigations and inspections of site conditions, roadways, intersections, signage, signals, pavement markings, and transportation corridors.
  • •Develop and support traffic engineering designs, concept development, and future-ready modeling techniques to improve safety and functionality.
  • •Conduct traffic counts and analyze accident data to determine volumes, origins/destinations, and potential roadway/intersection safety improvements.
  • •Support signal system design, monitoring and control, capacity and operations analysis, and traffic plan reviews to ensure safe, efficient roadways.
  • •Prepare technical reports and presentations, including data visualizations, and maintain quality control for accurate measurements and statistical reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline (or equivalent).
  • •3-5 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior traffic design experience.

  • •Prior knowledge of DOT traffic signal design principles.
  • •Experience applying traffic engineering principles, regulations, and compliance practices to traffic control and analysis work.
