Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform precision mechanical assembly of satellite structure, subsystems, and propulsion components to drawings and assembly procedures.
  • •Apply and record fastener torques using calibrated tooling, and maintain quality, traceability, and cleanliness of hardware handled.
  • •Operate cleanroom processes (monitoring, gowning, and ISO-class logging) and install thermal blankets (MLI) and other thermal control hardware.
  • •Build mechanical test fixtures/jigs/GSE from drawings, and support vibration/shock/structural test campaigns including accelerometer placement and post-test inspection.
  • •Support goods-in inspection, inventory logging, quarantine/tagging of non-conforming parts, and maintain as-built records and non-conformance reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven hands-on experience assembling precision flight/aerospace/defence hardware to engineering drawings and procedures.
  • •Practical experience applying and recording fastener torques using calibrated tooling and torque callouts.
  • •Experience working in a cleanroom or ISO-classified environment with contamination control practices.
  • •Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, including GD&T callouts.
  • •Experience building and operating mechanical test fixtures and mechanical GSE, with strong documentation/traceability discipline.
