Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate compliance assessments and audits with Engineering and Technical Program Management for OEM commercial vehicle partners, from intake through completion.
  • •Partner with AppSec on threat modeling and firmware analysis, translating compliance requirements into actionable engineering solutions.
  • •Own Samsara’s FirstNet Program and annual certification activities.
  • •Research and propose solutions to compliance gaps, including trade-offs, and communicate risk to engineering partners.
  • •Build automation for audit requirements and evidence gathering while participating in customer and auditor security posture conversations.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of relevant compliance or engineering experience.
  • •Experience with carrier or cellular per-device certification for public-safety/first-responder wireless networks (e.g., FirstNet).
  • •Hands-on experience with ISO 21434, including TARA, cybersecurity goals/concepts, and cybersecurity system requirements decomposition into hardware and software.
  • •Validation and verification of control requirements, including exposure to penetration testing and independent assessments.
  • •Working knowledge of automotive cybersecurity fundamentals (key/certificate management, authenticated boot, flash/OTA, authenticated messaging, encryption tradeoffs, and HSMs).
