Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide electronic technician services to FAALC product divisions, ensuring electronic systems, subsystems, and components meet serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements.
  • •Troubleshoot issues and solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents.
  • •Repair, assemble, refurbish, install, calibrate, and test electronic systems and equipment.
  • •Plan work sequences and select appropriate tools and testing instruments based on circuit interrelationships; work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
  • •Complete tasks according to FAA/FAALC standards and perform standard administrative items such as recording time, leave, and training completion.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum High School diploma/GED with formal technical training courses OR an Associate Degree in Electrical or Engineering Technology.
  • •Two years practical experience in an electronic technician support position.
  • •Familiarity with basic electronics test equipment including multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, AC/DC power supply, and power meter.
  • •Proficient in through-hole soldering/de-soldering.
  • •Able to identify and interpret basic analogue and digital circuit schematics and perform basic electronics troubleshooting (measure volts/current/resistance; identify opens/shorts/grounds).
