Lead and manage the onsite Field Services team for Under Water Systems (ASW) at HMNB Devonport, ensuring RN platform availability and contractual KPIs. Coordinate dockyard activities, liaise with authorities, manage safety, QA, training, and reporting (Jira). Provide hands-on leadership, performance coaching, and regular stakeholder updates to deliver safe, high‑quality ASW support across multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee resource management for the UWS ASW team on site at Devonport, ensuring tasks are delivered and KPIs met.
•Coordinate all dockyard activities in support of Thales UWS products and liaise with dockyard authorities at planning and support meetings.
•Ensure all HSE requirements on base are met and QA standards are maintained across activities.
•Maintain Jira and other reporting, ensuring timely submission of maintenance progress and information.
•Provide training, mentoring, and performance management for the FSE team, including regular appraisals and technical assessments.

Key Requirements

•Strong leadership and management capability, with proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in high-pressure operational environments, preferably within the Royal Navy Submarine Service.
•Deep operational understanding of submarine sonar systems, including tactical employment and interpretation of acoustic data, with hands-on experience on at least one TUK sonar system (e.g., Sonar 2076 or 2087).
•Ability to translate technical complexity into clear operational insight for decision-making by command teams and senior stakeholders.
•Experience in training, mentoring, and developing personnel to maintain high standards of technical competence and operational readiness.
•Proven experience operating in safety-critical, regulated environments with sound judgement and risk management; Security Clearance (SC) is required or achievable prior to commencement.
