Job Summary

Join the Akamai Storage Engineering team to develop and maintain Akamai’s cloud storage platform within the Connected Cloud ecosystem. You’ll own QA activities by participating in design reviews, building test plans and cases, and developing automated component-level tests for functionality, load, and performance. Collaborate with developers, Systems QA, release engineers, architects, and program managers while improving test and automation infrastructure using tools and frameworks such as Python and Unix/Linux.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate in functional and product design reviews and incorporate feedback into test plans and test cases.
•Develop and implement automated tests for functionality, load, and performance.
•Create and execute tests for new features and capabilities.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, Systems QA, release engineers, architects, and program managers.
•Improve testing and automation infrastructures by defining test plans and effective automation.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
•Experience with Unix/Linux and developing automation frameworks using Python.
•Experience with storage technologies and/or cloud computing and networking concepts such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP.
•Self-managed, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, with excellent communication skills.
•Ability to quickly learn and dissect new technologies, with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
