Job Summary

Control batch plant production and load out, reading dispatch orders to schedule and ensure timely delivery of aggregates and ready-mixed concrete. Batch loads to mix designs and specifications, maintain on-time in-spec output, print and file delivery tickets, and support customer payment at delivery. Operate safely and efficiently while complying with environmental and air quality regulations, maintain plant equipment, and perform concrete testing, moisture tests, and yield adjustments.

Key Responsibilities

•Control batch plant production and load out, including dispatch scheduling and timely delivery of supplies.
•Batch concrete loads according to mix designs and specifications and produce on-time, in-spec concrete for customers.
•Conduct batching operations safely and efficiently in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and air quality requirements.
•Print and file delivery tickets for each truck/load and provide delivery ticket copies to truck drivers for customer payment upon delivery.
•Maintain efficient working condition of plant equipment, including routine maintenance (greasing, sweeping, shoveling), repairs, cleaning, and removing jam-ups.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required.
•Preferred: 1–2 years batching-related experience.
•Ability to read and comprehend instructions and follow verbal (in person/over the phone) and written instruction.
•Ability to test concrete for conformance with mix design and specification, including moisture tests and yield calculation/adjustment.
•Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools (Internet Explorer, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
