Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a blade and other heavy equipment safely and responsibly to complete project work with laborer support as needed.
  • •Use equipment manuals and complete Daily Equipment Checklist, including noting service due dates and checking fluid levels.
  • •Communicate daily job specifications with the Project Manager/Foreperson and coordinate with other equipment on the project site.
  • •Discuss and adjust for anticipated production, materials moved, and number of trucks, and keep equipment clean for inspections.
  • •Perform additional duties as assigned while complying with OSHA/MSHA safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to operate heavy equipment including blade, loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, backhoes, and shuttle buggy.
  • •2+ GPS grading experience and ability to match blue tops for earth grading.
  • •Ability to perform daily pre-start procedures, complete Daily Equipment Checklist, and follow equipment manuals.
  • •Must be 18 years or older and be able to follow directions and perform essential job functions with/without reasonable accommodation.
  • •Must maintain a current driver’s license that meets state requirements and be willing to travel and work nights/weekends when necessary.
