Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate as an Operator B Certified Blaster while supporting workplace safety in a team environment.
  • •Maintain compliance with MSHA, CAL-OSHA, and BATF explosive safety regulations and requirements.
  • •Operate large (+100 ton capacity) mine haulage and/or water trucks and support blasting operations.
  • •Maintain production records and reports as required; inspect equipment and initiate corrective actions.
  • •Perform other duties and assignments as required, including effective two-way radio communication.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have a current and valid CAL-OSHA Blasters License and support workplace safety in a team environment.
  • •Must be able to obtain an Employee Possessors Permit from BATF and obtain a California Certificate of Eligibility.
  • •3+ years working with a Licensed Blaster and 3 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • •Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math, and maintain production records and reports.
  • •Must be able to understand and follow MSHA, CAL-OSHA, and BATF explosive safety regulations and understand electrical/mechanical functions of the equipment used.
