Job Summary

Own the end-to-end, non-technical lifecycle of a Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) engagement by partnering with Account Executives on C-suite discovery, value scoping, and pilot definition. Define the MVP, success criteria, and timelines; write PRDs that guide engineering; and drive agile delivery to a successful launch and full adoption. Lead stakeholder communication, manage the war room, handle escalations, and create documentation and a maintenance handoff plan.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with Sales to perform deep discovery, map the customer organization, quantify business value, and define pilot scope (MVP, success criteria, timeline).
•Author the PRD, prioritize the engineering backlog, manage scope tightly, and act as the primary hands-on QA tester.
•Drive the FDE build team using agile execution and manage stakeholder communications from C-suite to engineers.
•Own the Day 0 launch, run the war room, capture user feedback, and iterate to drive full adoption and proven business value.
•Plan ongoing maintenance, create customer documentation and training, and identify the next high-value FDE engagement as a trusted advisor.

Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

•2+ years as a Deployment Strategist, or 2+ years at a high-growth startup in a builder or founder capacity; alternatively, 5+ years in a senior, client-facing product or delivery role.
•Proven experience in value-based scoping using TCO/ROI, managing agile software projects, and writing PRDs.
•Strong execution mindset with experience escalating to unblock technical or political issues.
•Ability to perform SWOT analysis and assess competitive landscape to define what to build and why.
•Willingness/ability to travel up to 50%.
