Key Responsibilities

  • •Host and facilitate design reviews and collaborate with a multi-disciplined design team to take PCB/CCA designs from inception to manufacturing.
  • •Provide supplier support, including travel for onsite support, addressing manufacturing defects, reviewing supplier data and lessons learned, and helping stand up circuit card assembly testing at a supplier.
  • •Drive design, procurement, and build schedules to meet program need dates and ensure alignment across RTX design, supply chain, and program leadership.
  • •Generate drawing notes and review the Technical Data Package (TDP) to ensure adherence to IPC specs; perform design-for-manufacturability analyses.
  • •Develop and manage BOMs to optimize CCA manufacturing and rework, and mentor teammates on circuit card assembly manufacturing and IPC specs.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • •Experience with at least two of: PCB manufacturing, circuit card assembly, and understanding of IPC and MIL specifications and design guides.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • •U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • •Detailed CCA process knowledge and the ability to improve CCA manufacturability through component placement, component selection, and material selection.
