Job Summary

Design and improve tools and fixtures that support the manufacturing of Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) turbine components. Partner with cross-functional manufacturing and engineering teams to develop tooling solutions for prototyping through low- and high-volume production, define best practices for materials and tolerances, and analyze tooling effectiveness, cost, and durability. Contribute to process development and identify new technologies to meet performance and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Design tooling for all processes used to manufacture CMCs.
•Apply best practices for materials, dimensions, tolerances, and workholding across tooling for prototyping and production.
•Partner with integrated manufacturing and engineering teams to support process development.
•Collect and analyze data related to tooling.
•Define tooling effectiveness, cost, and durability metrics, and implement improvement opportunities.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
•2+ years of engineering experience (or an advanced degree with no experience).
•Proficiency with CAD tools such as NX, CATIA, Creo, or SolidWorks.
•Working knowledge of GD&T principles to interpret tolerancing schemes and apply them accurately.
•Demonstrated experience with manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
