Key Responsibilities

  • •Promote and ensure consistent application of TAQA North’s HSSE Management System across field operations.
  • •Lead emergency response initiatives in the North region and support emergency readiness on a 24/7 basis.
  • •Drive HSSE communications, coach operational leaders through field inspections and observations, and support safety meetings and initiatives.
  • •Lead incident investigations using recognized methodologies, performing root cause analyses and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • •Engage contractors on HSSE alignment, assist with safe job procedures and training, and support worker injuries and WCB claims management.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 10 years of direct oil & gas experience focused on health, safety, and emergency management, including Incident Command System experience.
  • •Strong understanding of oil and gas operations (sour gas, facilities, construction, well servicing, drilling & completions) and HSSE management systems.
  • •Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis, with practical experience leading investigations.
  • •Knowledge of OH&S and AER regulatory frameworks and the ability to maintain compliance.
  • •Valid safety certifications and a Class 5 driver’s license, with eligibility to work in Canada.
