Job Summary

Senior HR Generalist supporting Columbia Sportswear Canada from London, Ontario with a hybrid work model. You’ll coach managers, guide performance and employee relations, ensure regulatory compliance across Canadian federal/provincial law, analyze HR metrics, partner with Global HR on program rollouts, and maintain accurate HR data in Workday while enhancing the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, career development, employee relations, including disciplinary actions in partnership with the business).
•Analyze trends and metrics with HR to develop solutions, people programs, and policies for business unit needs.
•Maintain knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial employment law to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance; partner with legal as needed.
•Improve working relationships, build morale, increase performance, retention, and overall employee experience.
•Update and ensure accuracy of employee information in Workday (HRIS) and collaborate with Global HR on program rollouts for Canada.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with knowledge of client relationship management in Canadian retail
•Bachelor’s Degree specializing in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or related field
•CHRP designation is an asset
•Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems (Workday is an asset)
•Ability to negotiate and influence within a collaborative framework; travel to US for leadership meetings and stores across Canada as required
